NAGA EXPRESS
INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the shifting global economic landscape, and the success of China's Belt-and-Road Initiative (BRI), international business practices have undergone significant changes. Notably, China has emerged as the world's second-largest economic power. Given Thailand's strategic location within mainland ASEAN and its connection to southern China through the China-Laos high-speed railway, this presents  a substantial business opportunity for Thailand and neighboring ASEAN countries to engage in trade with China. The operational Kunming-Vientiane railway since December 2021 has become an alternative trading and logistics route, serving as a new gateway between Thailand and southwestern China, particularly Kunming.

Leveraging the advantages of railway transportation, this route offers faster, more punctual delivery compared to sea freight and proves more economically viable for large-volume logistics than air freight, particularly for moving goods to and from southwestern China. Thailand aims to become a trading hub with southwestern China, not only for its own products but also for the diverse and abundant supplies available in neighboring ASEAN countries.

With the socioeconomic changes in China following the pandemic, Chinese consumers have become more discerning and selective in their product choices.

We observe a growth in China's middle-income and urban populations, extending beyond major cities such as Shanghai and Beijing to other significant urban centers like Kunming and Chengdu in southwestern China.

This trend presents business opportunities for offering "better quality products" that cater to the increasing demands of Chinese customers, moving beyond a sole focus on "cheap prices."

NXI was established by a group of experienced professionals who recognized the significant business opportunities arising from the evolving social landscape in China and the new railway trading route.

Our primary objective is to introduce a wide range of new quality premium products into the southwestern China market, including frozen seafood, ready-to-eat Thai delicacies, processed Thai fruits and snacks, and other specialties from Thailand (and eventually from neighboring countries). To facilitate the logistics of our products from Thailand to Kunming and the rest of China, NXI has formed a strategic partnership with a prominent China-Laos railway logistics operator, who boasts a robust network of Chinese distributors.
